We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with experience in operating various CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Programmer will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our production processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including CNC lathe and milling operations.
Operate CNC machines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations based on specifications outlined in blueprints.
Conduct regular quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in manufactured parts.
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
Troubleshoot issues related to machine operation or programming, implementing effective solutions promptly.
Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
Assist in packaging and assembly processes as needed, ensuring products are prepared for shipment according to specifications.
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for machine automation when necessary.
Train new team members on CNC programming techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
Proven experience in CNC programming and operation of CNC machines (lathe, milling).
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints accurately.
Familiarity with welding processes is a plus.
Experience with hand tools, basic math skills, and quality control measures is essential.
Previous warehouse experience or manufacturing background preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification may be required).
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
