Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator / Programmer to join our growing fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC router equipment to produce high-quality parts accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC routers using CAD/CAM software (VCarve, Fusion 360, Enroute)
Set up and operate CNC router machines, including tooling, fixturing, and material loading
Read and interpret drawings, CAD files, and job specifications
Perform test cuts and make program adjustments as required
Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues
Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and tolerances
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform basic machine maintenance and tooling changes
Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize processes
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience operating and programming CNC routers
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software
Experience working with materials such as plastics, wood, MDF, composites, or aluminum
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs
Familiarity with vacuum hold-down systems and tooling is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
Formal training or certification in CNC machining or manufacturing
Experience with custom fabrication, prototyping, or short-run production
Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and tool selection for various materials
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
