We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machine tools at customer sites. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning:
Install and set up CNC machine tools, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
Perform calibration, testing, and verification of machine performance.
Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to identify problems.
Work with manufacturers and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
Preventive Maintenance & Upgrades:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures.
Recommend and install machine upgrades, retrofits, and replacement components.
Ensure all service work is documented accurately and thoroughly.
Customer Support & Communication:
Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site and remotely.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, solutions, and recommendations.
Maintain professional and positive relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of experience
in CNC machine tool service, maintenance, or repair.
Strong knowledge of CNC controls such as Okuma and Fanuc.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to customer sites (regional/national).
Valid driver's license and ability to lift heavy components as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical diploma or certification in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or CNC Technology.
Experience working with major CNC brands such as Okuma, Tsugami etc.
Familiarity with PLC programming and automation systems.
