Job Profile

The Lathe operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining a Fanuc CNC Lathe to machine precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves measuring, inspecting and ensuring high-quality production within specified tolerances while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations Compute dimensions, tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces Set-up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools Ensure the cleanliness and deburring on parts as required

Qualifications

Apprentice / Journeyperson or equivalent relevant experience 4+ years of production and machining experience Experience with ERP Systems

Compensation

Compensation may vary depending on various factors including skills, ability, experience, education and qualifications for the role. Night shift employees earn a $4/hour premium for each hour worked
