Key Responsibilities

  • To operate CMM and Laser Romer Arm machine to measure parts, components, tools and check fixtures.
  • To layout and calibrate fixtures or gauges to defined frequency.
  • To perform simple repair, maintenance, verification of gauges and fixtures.
  • To digitize as required to reverse Engineer parts and tooling to wire frame data/CAD data.
  • To conduct capability studies utilizing Co-Ex-Tec\'s measuring equipment or devices on both components and assemblies.
  • To support Engineering Teams on new programs on APQP activities, PPAP submissions and warranty/quality concerns investigations.
  • Works with both internal technical groups, outside suppliers and customers on measuring equipment layout interpretation and gauge/fixture designs.
  • Perform or review capability and gauge R&R studies to decide on measurement methods and SPC data gathering methods of what measuring device should be used, internally and with suppliers and customers.
  • Perform routine and non-routine lab testing on raw or finished products with respect to sample submissions, prototype evaluations, cost and scrap reduction programs, quality concerns and production verification.
  • Comply with Section 28 (Duties of Workers) of the OHSA.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Co-Ex-Tec Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (IATF16949), Health and Safety (ISO 45001), EMS (ISO14001), and security (PIP) requirements.
  • Any other reasonable request made by Management.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Associate or bachelor\'s degree in Metrology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year minimum automotive Engineering/ Quality Assurance experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of Polyworks software or PCDMIS is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and its applications for assembles, components and fixturing.
  • Analytical thinking, report writing, ability to work with data and reading technical drawings.
  • Familiar with testing tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent in communication, Teamwork and project management.
