The Cloud Security Architect will be part of a team responsible for the strategic on-going planning and design of the Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC) technical cloud environment. The Cloud Security Architect will work directly with the Infrastructure DevSecOps and Cloud Operations teams to design and build security into the CTC\xe2\x80\x99s public cloud.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Contribute to the development of cloud architecture patterns for Cybersecurity that lead the adoption of Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Define cybersecurity requirements for cloud technology solutions aligning with Enterprise Security Architecture frameworks and standards.
  • Provide architectural leadership and security consulting to CTC Cloud operational and project teams.
  • Lead business projects using security architecture solution building blocks for analysis of current state technologies that are approved for use
  • Research and maintain an extensive knowledge base of current technology advancements, trends and directions for the cloud security platform in the Banking and Retail industries.
  • Regularly update Enterprise Cloud Security standards, as required.
  • Provide Cybersecurity consulting services for cloud solutions that include applications, data, infrastructure, and network security.
  • Participate in project delivery, embracing the Agile methodology and associated toolsets.
  • Participate in security architecture automation and pipeline integration using a DevSecOps methodology for integration.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ve done
  • A minimum of four years directly related progressive experience cybersecurity, including PCI compliance, and understanding of risk management frameworks with a background in system and network security engineering
  • Broad background (preferred 3+ years in addition to cybersecurity) in technology design, implementation, and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and recommend security solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Experience building Cloud solutions and creating design patterns as well as experience with application developing using DevSecOps.
  • Experience working with architectural frameworks (such as TOGAF or SABSA)
  • Extensive experience in creating security solutions for Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Identity and Access management and the supporting technologies such as CA Technologies, BeyondTrust, and RSA
  • Understanding of SSO technologies such as OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, Kerberos, Open ID Connect, JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
  • Familiarity with API security and what best practices are part of securing APIs.
  • Experience in designing container security solutions for Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of, or hands-on experience with security technologies like NGFW, VPN, vulnerability management, WAF, DDoS mitigation, PKI, key management, IDAM, DLP, UEBA, SIEM, endpoint security, threat intelligence.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications AZ-500, AZ-301/302 or AZ-303/304 are significant assets.
  • University or College degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and regulations such as: ISO 17799, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley/C198, HIPA compliance, CEO/CFO certification
  • Industry recognized certifications for such as CISSP, CEH, CCSE, CCSP would be an asset.
