We have a new opportunity for a Clinical Specialist, Allergan Aesthetics Facial Portfolio, to join our team. In this exciting career opportunity, your primary role is to support health care professionals (HCP) with their continuing education to improve their knowledge and skills through the implementation and execution of clinical support programs. You will also be responsible for implementing and executing the National Injector Clinical Support Program. This program will focus on product administration training for facial aesthetics, best practices sharing and education on patient safety in clinics, through virtual and in-person learning programs, one-on-one simulation workshops, and exposure to subject matter experts. This role is a field-based position, from the province of Ontario (Eastern ON and Ottawa). This is a Maternity Leave 1 year contract and reports to the Lead, Clinical Specialist.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing training programs for HCPs against facial aesthetics (BotoxA, JuverdermA and BelkyraA) strategic imperatives.
  • Perform baseline and ongoing assessments, to identify training needs and to develop tailored training packages and plans to address the HCPaEUR(TM)s needs.
  • Monitor and ensure progression through training curriculum and make mutually agreed determinations as to when the HCP is proficient with required techniques.
  • Deliver follow-up training and/or coordinate additional support with higher levels of clinical expertise to ensure timely response to customer requests for additional clinical support and guidance.
  • Build and facilitate efficient and comprehensive medical aesthetics training sessions
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members.
  • Provide expertise on product, medical aesthetics, and anatomy for current and future Allergan Aesthetics business.
  • Offer unaccredited healthcare professionals facilitated programs focused on addressing HCPs learning needs related to scientific and/or clinical issues for facial aesthetics (i.e., product administration techniques, patient treatment plans).
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with key external experts, and act as the key point of contact with customers and external experts for clinical training requirements.
  • Utilizes BOTOX CosmeticA/ Juvederm / Belkyra reporting system and computer/iPad hardware/software to enhance productivity.
  • Communicates effectively with other Clinical Specialists/TMaEUR(TM)s nationally to establish priority accounts and travel requirements. Prepares and submits on a timely basis all reports requested by management.
  • This role supports ethical medical and business practices that adhere to AllerganaEUR(TM)s Healthcare compliance principles.
Qualifications

Education / Experience required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and currently registered with their Provincial College of Nurses. MD degree an asset
  • Relevant medical/pharmaceutical expertise:
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry, and fields related to training (minimum of five years).
  • Solid clinical and scientific knowledge
  • Experience in medical aesthetics: an asset.
  • Knowledge of principles of adult learning.
  • Strong commitment to compliance, quality and integrity and working knowledge of the health care environment and its evolving landscape.
  • Understanding of the Canadian regulatory environment.
Essential skills and abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong listening and interpersonal expertise.
  • Advanced French and English language proficiency (oral and written).
  • Must be able to travel extensively and adhere to a rigorous schedule (40 to 60% including occasional weekends and evenings).
