Position Details
The Faculty of Education and University of Lethbridge Counselling Services invite applications for a Clinical Practicum Supervisor position serving in the Graduate Studies and Research & Counselling Services offices to commence duties in May 2025.
Working within the University of Lethbridge Counselling Services department and reporting to the Director, Student Wellness Services, the Clinical Practicum Supervisor will :• Oversee and coordinate supervision of U of L MEd Clinical and Counselling Psychology and Master of Counselling students who are completing a counselling psychology practicum at the University of Lethbridge;
• Engage in limited front-line counselling work.
Working within the Graduate Studies and Research in Education office, and reporting to the Associate Dean, the Clinical Practicum Supervisor will assist in advancing the faculty's strategic priorities for our graduate programs in counselling, by:• Assisting in expanding and enriching our relationships with the counselling professionals and organizations within the province of Alberta;
• Supporting the development of long-term partnership agreements with counselling organization who supervise and support our MEd Clinical and Counselling Psychology, and Master of Counselling students in their practica;
• Assist in developing entrance to practice competencies and profiles that will inform the curriculum and instruction within the Faculty of Education's counselling psychology programs.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications
The successful candidate:• Must be registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists;
• Will have a strong track record of providing exceptional counselling services to adult populations;
• Will be competent in supervision in area(s) of practice related to a post-secondary counselling environment;
• Will be excited about building collaborative relationships both with key stakeholders within the University of Lethbridge community and with our partners in the broader counselling community;
• Will have an aptitude for supervising students in clinical settings;
• Be excited to learn and work within a dynamic, collaborative team environment;
• Be committed to advancing the counselling profession.
Preference will be given to applicants with extensive knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas:• Extensive experience providing supervision to counselling interns/provisional psychologists;
• Have taken courses or other forms of education or training to develop competency in supervision;
• Staff development and training;
• Leadership within the helping professions;
• Clinical supervision;
• Collaborative relationship building;
• Interpersonal and professional communication;
• Front-line counselling experience.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $84,500.57 - $106,301.68 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $84,500.57 - $128,102.79 annually (APO - Grade 5)
