The Clinical Educator supports Best Practice through training in administrative, technology and/or clinical aspects of service provision by working closely with field staff, supervisors/management, and administrative staff.


Your role


• Work closely with operations, subject matter experts and other regional administrative Educators to develop training curriculum based on provincial and professional guidelines
• Research, design, and facilitate orientation and training sessions to field staff while ensuring appropriate training is accessible for all staff and that training is linked to desired outcomes
• Create a solid and forward-thinking infrastructure that supports continuous improvement to systems and enhances a Learning Culture
• Support regional initiatives with required training (administrative, technical) and advise of potential opportunities and gaps in education.
• Support the development and maintenance of the education plan including any related outcome measures for quality assurance / improvement initiatives.
• Develop and nurture links to commercial customers, academic institutions, and scientific organizations within region
• Maintain knowledge of care requirements/trends in appropriate settings i.e. home care and congregate care settings and participate in identifying services/training required to meet them.
• Participate in life-long learning and maintain professional competencies as required by current legislation.




What you will need to be successful:


• Be a graduate of a recognized Nursing program.
• Have a current active license & in be in good standing with the nursing regulatory body in province of practice.
• Demonstrated educator/training experience; facilitating & development of training materials
• Ability to teach & train students at different levels and learning styles
• Adult Education and/or Training Certificate
• Valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle for work related travel.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong Employee development and coaching skills
• Ability to work outside of regular hours may be required
• Flexibility to travel for work (15%-20%).
