Abbotsford Valley Counselling is expanding and is hiring empathetic individuals to offer a wide range of online and in-person therapy and counselling services for individuals, youth, families, couples, and adults in Abbotsford and the surrounding area. We are looking for a Registered Social Worker/Registered Clinical Counsellor, willing to work part-time or full-time, preference will be given to those specializing in couples therapy or child/play therapy

.

In this contract-based, associate position with substantive room for growth, our ideal candidate is interested in a long-term associate relationship with our clinical practice.

Abbotsford Valley Counselling offers private counselling services in the following areas:

- General Mental Health, including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, OCD, and more

- ADHD

- Life Transitions

- Trauma and Abuse

- Grief and Loss

- Substance Misuse

- Gender Identity and Sexuality

- Family Therapy and Parenting Support

- Self-worth and Self-esteem

- Anger Management

- Eating Disorders

- Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, and working with children

Qualifications:

The candidate must have their Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counselling. They must be registered and in good standing with BCCSW or BCACC or another regulatory body. Some experience in a clinical counselling role is an asset. Further education on various therapeutic models (such as DBT, CBT, EFT for example) is also an asset. The candidate must be motivated to continue to develop their professional skills and knowledge. A willingness to work some evenings and weekends is preferred.
