ABOUT THE ROLE
As a
Clinic Assistant
, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and play an important role in keeping our clinic running smoothly. You'll balance administrative duties with light clinical support, ensuring that both patients and practitioners have a seamless experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
Manage patient appointments, reminders, and scheduling efficiently using our EMR system
Handle billing for
Extended Health Benefits (EHB), Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), and WCB
claims
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries politely and accurately
Coordinate with practitioners to ensure smooth communication between all departments
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and treatment areas
Support the clinical team with administrative and light patient-care tasks (training provided)
Help patients understand our services, treatment plans, and promotions
Foster a welcoming environment that reflects ActiveCare's commitment to
active, personalized care
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
1-2 years of experience
in a receptionist, clinic assistant, or customer service role
Previous experience in a
physiotherapy, chiropractic, or healthcare setting
is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills --
fluent in English
(verbal and written)
Strong computer literacy and quick learning with clinic management software (EMR experience is a plus)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
Positive, reliable, and professional attitude
Passionate about helping people and contributing to a team-oriented workplace
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Competitive hourly wage:
$16 - $20/hour
(based on experience)
