MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an outgoing and driven Account Director (\xe2\x80\x9cAD\xe2\x80\x9d) to join a Consulting Team that works across a portfolio of incredible tier-one brands. As an AD, you will play a vital leadership role across all functions from providing trusted strategic council and ensuring the flawless execution of client programs through to growing our business and supporting an engaging agency culture.

Candidates should have 8+ years of industry experience and a passion for building best in class sports and entertainment partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Service

Inspiring our clients\' confidence and trust as the senior day-to-day account lead.

Collaborating with inter-agency teams (creative, media, PR, social, etc.) to develop and deliver industry-leading marketing solutions.

Demonstrating a deep commitment to client success by ensuring all deliverables are properly managed and executed with excellence, exhibiting a solutions-oriented attitude, and troubleshooting escalations.

Maintaining an understanding of the client\'s business and evolving industry trends in order to anticipate needs and proactively deliver recommendations.

Helping clients gain recognition for their work and investments by leading external and internal awards submissions (e.g. collecting relevant metrics, drafting cases, coordinating sizzle reels, etc.).

Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of scopes of work, budgets, invoicing and reconciliations.

Sponsorship Consulting

Playing a vital role across all key stages of the sponsorship lifecycle including opportunity identification, strategy development, deal valuations, partnership negotiations, activation ideation, program development and management, performance measurement and optimization.

Developing strong relationships with properties, agents, the inter-agency team, and key stakeholders.

Providing strategic and evidence-based POVs on challenging issues requiring timely responses and delivery by a confident senior leader.

Team Leadership

Inspiring and enabling the growth of reports through empathy, coaching/mentoring, and supporting relevant opportunities for professional development.

Positioning reports for success through accurate prioritization, effective delegation, clear instructions, workload balance monitoring, and rigorous project management.

Supervising and reviewing reports\' work ensuring it reflects MKTG\'s standards along with the provision of timely and constructive feedback.

Business Development and Administration

Assisting with the development of internal financial targets, budget management and resource planning.

Proactively identifying opportunities to grow business with new and existing clients.

Nurturing business opportunities from inception to closure by managing the client relationship, leading the business discovery process (understanding the client\'s challenge), solutions ideation, accurate project and retainer scoping, budget development, and client pitches/presentations.

Providing business support to the agency\'s Legal Team on client contracts, scopes of work, and other related documents.

Qualifications

University degree or college diploma in marketing, business, or related fields.

8+ years of related industry experience (property and/or agency-side experience is a plus).

Strong knowledge of the Canadian sports and entertainment landscape.

Talent for building strong relationships with clients, properties and internal stakeholders.

Strategic mind adept at articulating recommendations through persuasive writing/presentations.

Confident speaker and negotiator.

Thrives in a fast-pace environment staying organized, agile and committed to client success.

Solutions-oriented thinker that effortlessly balances business acumen and pragmatism with creativity.

People leader with a track-record of inspiring and coaching direct reports.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500-$110,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company\'s incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
