Job Summary

We are a growing mixed animal practice, with a busy orthopedic referral team. We are located in Almonte, just 20 minutes west of Ottawa. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Client Care Representative, but are willing to help teach on the job. Our reception staff are the front facing part of our team, and are a critical part in making sure that clients and pets are comfortable in the clinic. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with client communication, has a positive attitude and is able to multi-task and prioritize within a team setting. We are looking to fill a full time position, with the occasional weekend and a regular evening shift. Responsibilities

Answer phone calls as they come in and coordinate with veterinarian as needed Monitor messages and emails from clients to support client communication Schedule appointments, set up patient files, and add communication to files Check in patients and coordinate patient movement into exam rooms Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' care.

Experience

Previous experience within a veterinary clinic, in the medical field, or through a Veterinary Assisstant program is strongly preferred, but we are able to teach on the job as needed. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with both animals and their owners. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
