Reporting to the Manager of the Opioid Treatment Hub, this position is to provide clerical support to:
" current Hub\'s service expansion including access clinics for polysubstances (opioids, alcohol, and other substances),
" home alcohol withdrawal program,
" primary health clinics offering health care services directly to patients who encounter limited access to healthcare as well as enhancing the capacity of existing primary care clinics,
" as well as other clinical initiatives developed in the future
The position will involve a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks including but not limited to: maintenance and support of the electronic health record (EMR, CRMS, CWS and eventually EPIC), maintenance of paper charting, client registration, internal and external appointment procurement and confirmation of appointment times with clients, filing of loose reports, copying of reports, coordinating prescriptions with community pharmacies, record retrieval, release of information, processing of and sending referrals, regular meetings with staff regarding client needs, and attending team huddles and meetings. This position also involves providing support across the department including the Recovery Centre and will require travel to and work at multiple locations. Other duties include answering phones, ordering, receiving, stocking supplies, and other related tasks. Clinics may run beyond regular business hours and flexibility may be required to support client needs.Job Demands

Regularly required to perform bilateral repetitive fine motor skills when performing various computer work duties that involve typing and use of the computer\'s mouse.
Work in a loud and sometimes chaotic clinic environment with face-to-face clients needing service as well as those calling on phones.Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a two-year Office Administration program OR completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college supplemented by two years\' experience within the last four in a progressively responsible clerical role is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
Previous experience in a similar clinical setting would be considered an asset.
Knowledge and understanding of the unique needs of this population.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
The use of a personal vehicle is a condition of employment.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
Incumbent will be required to complete training on the Community Wide Scheduling, CRMS, Meditech and either Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/or EPIC.*Proof of a current office administration program is required. To be considered current, it must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions.
