Clerical Assistant, College of MedicineThe Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA) program is a Canadian leader in assessing eligible internationally trained family physicians, ensuring that they have the knowledge, skills and suitability to practice effectively and safely within the Canadian healthcare system. SIPPA is situated in the College of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education and works within the Medical Council of Canada\'s National Assessment Collaboration Practice Ready Assessment framework. The SIPPA program includes applicant screening and selection, an orientation to family practice in Saskatchewan, an assessment for practice readiness and ongoing supervision while in clinical practice until the physician attains regular licensure. Each year up to 150 physicians are at various stages of the program while they are practicing in rural Saskatchewan.Primary Purpose: To provide efficient, exemplary administrative support to the comprehensive SIPPA program.Nature of Work: Reporting to the program manager and working collaboratively with faculty and staff, this position will have varied tasks that are complex and time sensitive in nature. The incumbent must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Work must consistently meet high standards of accuracy in a fast-paced environment of continuous change and frequent interruptions. The work is deadline driven and very detailed, requiring skills in prioritizing to meet timelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential and the professional image of the SIPPA program must be presented.
