Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced

Cleaning Supervisor

to oversee and coordinate cleaning staff in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in commercial and residential facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure work is completed efficiently, staff are properly trained, and safety standards are followed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of cleaning staff. Inspect sites to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met. Assign duties and prepare work schedules. Train new staff in proper cleaning methods, use of equipment, and safety procedures. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback. Order and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment inventory. Resolve work-related issues and handle staff concerns. Maintain records of work performed and prepare reports for management. Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, and client requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate (minimum). 1-2 years of experience in cleaning/janitorial services. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leader experience (preferred).

Credentials (Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, Courses)

WHMIS training (preferred). First Aid/CPR certification (asset).

Supervision

Supervise 3-4 cleaning staff.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, attention to detail. Standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and working with cleaning chemicals and equipment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Work Setting

Commercial and residential buildings. Multiple client locations within Calgary, AB
