We are looking for a highly motivated Cleaner to join our Waste Management/Exterior Maintenance Team at Yorkdale Shopping Centre on a full-time basis. The hours of work will be 10:00pm-6:30am with alternate weekends off.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Ensure all recycling items and organics are collected through out the day
• Ensure all recycling stations are clean and free from obstructions
• Ensure recycling stations are deep scrubbed on a regular basis
• Ensure loading docks and compactors are clean and free from obstructions
• Be able to assist on the exterior when call upon
• Ensure compactor are running free
• Ensure that compactor safety features are in place and not by passed
• Ensure compactor reading are checked on a regular basis
• Ensure that all totes are cleaned on the exterior and interior
• Ensure that each dock has a limit of totes
• Ensure to replace the bags inside the recycling totes
• Ensure that recycling material is not mixed
• Ensure that tenants or restaurants are following the recycling program
• Ensure proper personal protective equipment is used
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ensure the truck tunnel and corridors are free from debris and obstructions
• Ensure A Supervisor is notified about full compactors
• Power washing of all loading Docks

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Housekeeping/Cleaner experience

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Capable of standing/walking for extended period of time

• Must have a driver's license (must produce a driver's abstract)
• Ability to lift 50lbs
