Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented part-time cleaner to join our team at the Journeyman Lodge. The role is essential to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff in a remote backcountry setting. This position requires independence, initiative, and the ability to adapt to a unique wilderness environment.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize guest rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and dining spaces. Perform routine sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Manage lodge laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens. Ensure supplies (soap, toilet paper, towels, etc.) are stocked in guest and staff areas. Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with lodge systems and environmental standards. Report any maintenance or repair needs to management. Assist with occasional deep cleaning tasks (e.g., windows, walls, storage spaces). Follow lodge health, safety, and sustainability protocols. Operate a snowmobile on a groomed track to and from lodge

Desired Training & Skills:

Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or hospitality roles preferred. Ability to work independently and maintain consistent standards without direct supervision. Strong attention to detail and time management. Physical ability to lift, bend, and carry loads up to 50lbs, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the day. Comfort working and living in a remote, backcountry environment. Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to support the team as needed.
