Job Description


:We are currently looking for a Class 3 Box Truck Driver to join our team in Red Deer team on a full-time basis. This position is responsible for the transportation of hazardous and household waste from a client site to our Clean Harbors facility or outside disposal facility. The driver in this role will also be responsible for safely loading and unloading hazardous and household waste from their truck.Why work for Clean Harbors?

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Driving and operating one or more of the following units: Box Truck;
  • If Candidates have a Class 1 License, will be operating Tractor Trailer unit;
  • Completing the proper documentation for the job using handheld units and/or paper documenting techniques, including pre/post trips;
  • Completing minor vehicle maintenance;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the unit;
  • Providing high levels of customer service to our client base.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • Understanding and knowledge of Environmental compliance
  • Making 3-5 Stops per day picking hazardous and household waste
  • Expectation for weekend work for household waste events in the spring, summer, and fall.
  • Physically loading and unloading of truck.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Class 3 license required;
  • Class 1 License is an asset;
  • Clean Driver\'s Abstract;
  • 2 years of Class 3 Driving experience;
  • Ability to drive automatic transmissions;
  • Previous experience operating Box Trucks is required;
  • Operation of a Forklift is an asset;
  • Safety tickets preferred: H2S, First Aid, CSTS;
  • Ability to physically load and unload trucks is required.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills with handheld phones, scanners, and apps.
  • Trips throughout Alberta; OTR role.
  • Positive attitude and ability to pivot to different business needs.
