a premier landscaping company providing exemplary service and quality in Edmonton and the surrounding area, is hiring for the position of

Class 3 Tandem Truck Driver.

What do I need to be successful:

Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of driving equipment and vehicle safety to keep steady progress on our snow removal and soil delivery throughout the City of Edmonton.

The ability to take direction, work in all weather conditions and maintain a good attitude when meeting tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by knowing procedures and complying with standards and legislation.

Take direction from Lead Hand and/or Site Foreman/Superintendent

Demonstrate a willingness to learn

Work safely at all times

Adheres to and maintains vehicle cleanliness and housekeeping

Maintain a clean driving record prior to hire and during employment.

Deemed competent in the operation of company trucks with and without trailers and demonstrate responsible driving.

Operate a variety of equipment:

o Dump trucks

o End dumps - Class 1 an asset

Work in a team to reach daily production goals

Perform equipment maintenance and daily checks, ensure all equipment is in proper working order.

Minor mechanical repairs such as oil changes, filter changes, tire repairs, and fluid top ups, bulb changes, greasing.

Follow maps or GPS directions to destinations.

Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs repetitively over the course of work shift.

Able to ask qualifying questions or request more instruction if needed

Requirements:

Class 3 Driver's Licence CSTS 2020 First Aid Certification Ability to lift 50lbs Bend, rotate and stand for long periods of time Previous landscaping experience an asset Ability to use various in-house software programs Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Competent time management skills Flexibility to multi-task Able to meet deadlines Able to work both in a team environment and independently Have an attention to detail and ability to work at a steady-pace
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed
