Under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable and Billing Supervisor, the Claims and Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for the Claims management along with some tasks related to AR and Credit management for the franchise network. (Sports Experts, Atmosphere, Hockey Experts, Sports Rousseau and Hockey Warehouse banners).

FGL Sports \xe2\x80\x93 Franchise Division is a network of 181 stores. Most of the stores are located in the province of Quebec but some are in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Ontario and Yukon.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Oversee the claims resolution process and be responsible for reviewing, reorganizing and improving the process as needed.
  • Manage and support the 2 claims clerks to achieve efficiency with the claims resolution process.
  • Communicate and meet virtually with vendors or store management when needed for more complicated issues related to claims to achieve resolution.
  • Run & maintain accurate daily Aging Reports for the Franchise Division.
  • Manage the Application of Late Fees on Outstanding Balances.
  • Manage the Stores under shipping authorization and order release process for all order types and communicate accordingly with vendors and DC as needed. Run reports related to this process.
  • Steadfast in providing service to our Franchise Network
  • Other related tasks as needed
What you bring
  • 5 to 7 years experience in a Retail franchise environment, with experience in AR and Dispute management.
  • Minimum education required, Collegial designation in a finance Program.
  • Proficient in English & French, and the ability to communicate in a French environment.
  • Working knowledge of AS400 and PeopleSoft an asset.
  • MS Office knowledge - Excel level-intermediate to advanced.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Time Management.
  • Attention to detail and solution oriented.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and without supervision.
