Grow with us, H2O+U. Your Opportunity Our Water group is seeking a Co-op Student to join our team in the Ottawa, ON office for a 4-month term starting May 2023. Your Key Responsibilities Assisting the engineers and designers in a variety of field and office assignments that include research, writing reports, conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs of municipal infrastructure, pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment plants, sewers, watermains, roads, surveying, field inspections, data processing, modeling etc. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations, policies, and programs, are a plus
Education and Experience In progress toward earning a Bachelor\'s degree (minimum) in civil, water resources or environmental engineering or related field. Specific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following: Planning, design, construction of water/wastewater infrastructure, and construction management, Environmental water/wastewater treatment processes, Advanced and emerging technologies. Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
