Upper Canada Child Care - xe2x80x9cA smile on each childxe2x80x99s facexe2x80xa6every day.xe2x80x9dWe are currently recruiting a Cook to join our Team in Markham at the following location: St. Rene Goupil-St. Luke CES.Starting Pay: $19.10 - $21.83 /hour, plus full-time benefit package (including dental, health and travel insurance), 10 paid personal days plus paid vacation time.Position Type & Required Availability:

• Full-Time Position (25 hours/week): Candidates must be available to work a 5-hour shift Monday-Friday to be considered.

The cook/housekeeper is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance and housekeeping. The position includes administration tasks such as daily logs and records. Supports the organizationxe2x80x99s vision, mission, and guiding values.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in food preparation and serving.
• Food handler certification.
• Prior experience working with children an asset.
• A recent Vulnerable Sector Check
• At least 18 years of age or older due to licensing requirements.
• Health assessment and record of immunization, as outlined by legislation.
• Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen appliances and laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of Canadaxe2x80x99s food guide.
• Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, coworkers and other professionals.
• Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.
