The Nanaimo Child Development Centre (NCDC) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1967. The NCDC provides a broad range of health and health-related services to children with developmental needs and works with families to support healthy child development. NCDC services and programs include: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Therapy, Infant Development Program, Supported Child Development Program, Child & Youth Development Program, Family Development Program, Family Resource Navigator and a community drop-in playgroup.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Provide child care to children whose guardians are participating in group activities at the NCDCS.

Skills/Qualifications
Grade 12, previous experience with children and youth with special needs preferred.
Demonstrated skills working in a computer environment, keyboarding 50 wpm.
Microsoft Office (current version) skills.
Proven ability to manage processes, flexible to workload, multitask and prioritize.
Strong organization skills, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving
Proven ability to handle confidential material
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check clearance
Previous experience in a health care or human service field an asset
