Job Description

BGC Wolf Creek is seeking a Child Care Program Coordinator for our Lacombe location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children 5-12 and dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage with children in a supportive and nurturing manner ??Ensure all Child Care Programs and programming facility compy with regulations ??Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of facilities ??Demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations. ??Plan and organize acivities for the child care program in accordance with the programming guidline ensure compliance with licensing regulations ??Assist HR to recruit, hire, supervise and orient new child care programming assistants
Qualifications:

??Minimum 18 years of age or older ??Previous experience working with children and/or youth ??Have completed secondary education in a related field or the equivalency of a Level Two Child Care Worker, as approved by Child Care Licensing Regulations ??Have flexibility in being able to work during non-business hours ??Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check ??Valid First Aid/CPR certification
Hours:

??Sept to June- 25 hours a week ??1:00PM-6:00PM Monday to Friday ??8:00AM-6:00PM PD day (every other Friday) ??July and August hours TBD ??Schedule subject to change
Remuneration:

$18.00/hr
*In addition to the hourly rate, there is a government top-up program for those that have their Level 2&3 child care certification.
