Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced, safety-driven, and dynamic Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) to lead our instructional team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all flight training operations, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations, maintaining the highest training and safety standards, and mentoring both instructors and students.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all flight training operations. Ensure full compliance with Transport Canada regulations and internal quality assurance standards. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate flight instructors, supporting their professional development. Fulfil the responsibilities for a CFI as described in CAR 426.22. Maintain operational control of the Flight Training Unit (FTU). Coordinate and deliver initial and recurrent training for flight instructors. Ensure accurate and up-to-date training methods in accordance with regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with a valid Class 1 or 2 Flight Instructor Rating. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a flight training environment is preferred. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Transport Canada standards. Multi-IFR and/or ATPL qualifications considered an asset. Flight test examiner privileges considered an asset.
