Vitafoam Products Canada location is looking for a Chemical Handler/Receiver in

North York, ON.

Please note, this position is not a lab role, it is a very physical job controlling, monitoring and maintaining various chemicals processes as it relates to specific operating equipment.

Responsibilities:

Comply with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and established company safety rules Offload chemicals from Rail Cars and Tanker Trucks daily Control and monitor chemicals in storage tanks Control and monitor chemical handling equipment (pumps, compressors) Operate material handling equipment including a Lift Truck Record and follow process instructions Clean plant and equipment, including all tanks and mixers as needed to maintain a good housekeeping philosophy Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and managers

Requirements:

College level education in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing experience Must have the ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. (22.68 kgs) Knowledge and experience with a process control system in controlling reactions and processes an asset Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge and use of hand tools Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English Ability to perform basic mathematical functions Able to work outside in all weather conditions Flexibility required to work overtime at times for our 24/7 manufacturing operation
