The Material Handler Operator is responsible for supporting all screening, coating, packaging, and shipping activities within PlastiFab Polymer Plant. This includes operating equipment, handling materials safely, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while contributing to an efficient and team-oriented work environment.

What you will do:

Safely operate and monitor vacuum transfer systems to move materials throughout the plant. Apply coatings and conduct screening and packaging processes according to established procedures. Understand and follow ISO 9000 quality standards in all daily tasks. Maintain accurate and timely records for materials, production, and equipment use. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled to maintain product integrity. Arrange for shipping requirements and coordinate trailer moves as needed. Load trailers securely and safely for outbound shipments. Perform all physical duties required, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Meet all safety requirements and comply with regulatory guidelines at all times. Operate all equipment and tools safely and report any malfunctions. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Demonstrate a flexible and cooperative attitude in a team-based work environment. Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge:

High school diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age or older. 2-5 years previous experience preferred. Demonstrate leadership in safety practices and culture Highly motivated with a good, sound work ethic. Familiar with ISO 9000 Quality Systems, WHMIS Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Prior experience operating a propane sit-down forklift or other mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks). Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. Ability to follow Carlisle policies, procedures, and processes. Good communication, organization, and time management skills. Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator. Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers. Ability to learn and operate new equipment.

Working Conditions:

Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels. Hours worked: 8 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume. Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.
