Oldcastle, ON N0R 1L0 Work & Play Golf! Our restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to staff management and kitchen hygiene. The successful candidate will have a passion for food, a strong leadership presence, and a proven track record of creating and executing exceptional menus that delight customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop menus that are innovative, seasonal, and relevant to our target customer base
• Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling and training
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high quality, consistent dishes are served to customers
• Manage food costs and inventory levels to ensure profitability and minimize waste
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that meets all health and safety regulations
• Stay up-to-date with food trends and industry best practices to continually improve our menu offerings and operations
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and growth among team members
• Work closely with restaurant management to ensure customer satisfaction and meet business objectives

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen management, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
• Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Creative mindset with a passion for food and an eye for detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred, but not required

• Weekend availability
