Aramark is recruiting a Chef Manager for our culinary service for a company just east of Toronto. This operation serves approximately 100 patrons during the weekdays from Monday - Friday.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take a hands-on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations. Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company-delivered programs. Job Responsibilities
------------------------
Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection
Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
Estimate food consumption, conduct inventories, ordering, receiving; manage costs and budgets
Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
Provide exceptional customer service to the patrons who work for the client on-site
Manages a small staff of 2-3 who assist in food service and opening/closing duties

Qualifications
------------------
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years culinary experience and 1-2 years in a management role
Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database
Some business acumen to manage budgets and P&L concepts
Solid interpersonal and customer service skills to represent Aramark at the client site
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
Requires good computer skills and strong oral communication ability
