POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Executive Chef - Multi-Unit, the chosen candidate will perform an array of duties to run a profitable, clean, and well-equipped kitchen. The Chef will also be responsible for overseeing day to day operations including coaching and motivating the Kitchen staff. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Duties



Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Manage food production processes, including menu planning and inventory control. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Coordinate banquet services and catering events, delivering exceptional hospitality. Maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness to uphold health and safety standards. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Develop innovative menu items that reflect the bistro's French culinary heritage. Manage shift schedules and kitchen workflow to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications



Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a focus on French cuisine. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff. Background in food service management, including catering and restaurant management. Proficient in inventory management and control, ensuring cost-effective operations. Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Knowledge of dietary department practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
