Port Carling Golf & Country Club is recruiting a skilled and professional individual who has a passion for hospitality and a focus on creating memorable experiences for members. We are searching for an accomplished candidates for our Fine Dining Restaurant. Farm to table concept working with the freshest of ingredients from some of the most exclusive farms and suppliers in Ontario. To be successful in this position, you should be a skilled multitasker who adheres to food safety codes. Ultimately, a top-performing candidate will create and produce innovative dishes for inclusion on our weekly changing menu. Responsibilities:

• Attend weekly menu creation meeting
• Attend pre-service meetings
• Prepare dishes as per the standards outlined by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
• Clean and portion primal cuts of meat
• Clean and prepare fish and seafood
• Braise and grill meat and vegetables.
• Check that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
• Prevent cross-contamination.
• Prepare meals in accordance with customers\' preferences, if applicable.
• Track the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure that your workstation always remains clean and orderly.
• Inform the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
• Track inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a cook, preferably fine dining.
• Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
• Capacity to stand for long hours.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Level-headed with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service.
• Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holidays, as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits:
