The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Timely preparation of both hot and cold food items, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, with a commitment to top-notch quality.
Efficiently managing food production, maintaining detailed records, minimizing waste, and ensuring mise en place readiness for the upcoming day.
Providing support for culinary production and banquet setup, including hands-on involvement in action stations such as carving.
Upholding impeccable cleanliness standards per AHS guidelines, focusing on maintaining a well-organized and hygienic workstation.
Thoroughly completing daily opening and closing checklists, temperature logs, and equipment cleaning responsibilities.
Strict adherence to the EXPO Centre Health and Safety Standards, ensuring a secure and healthy work environment.
The successful candidate will have:
Post-secondary education, with a preference for a degree in culinary or hospitality management
Food Safety Certificate.
Red Seal Certificate is required.
6-7 years' experience in a high-volume kitchen or banquet operation.
Excellent understanding of food service and sanitation standards.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, including the capacity to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and/or move up to 24 kilograms.
