Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
Lead team management activities including training new staff and organising shift schedules
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain stock levels
Innovate new recipes and contribute to menu development based on current culinary trends
Ensure all food presentation meets the organisation's standards for visual appeal
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a catering or hospitality setting minimum 10 years.
Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
