Change Management Specialist up to 11 months Job Number:46311

Working with a cross-functional team and reporting to the Enterprise Commons Centre of Excellence Lead, the Change Management Specialist focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, culture and organization structures. Responsible for implementing agile change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance to meet organizational objectives. The Change Management Specialist coaches the Enterprise Commons functional functional streams, project sponsors and the City\xe2\x80\x99s people leaders on change management & change leadership best practices, lessons learned and trends, while designing a tailored change management solution that delivers value and project success. This role works across Enterprise Commons Delivery teams and coaches team members and impacted business areas around the organization in how to integrate change management activities and principles into their work. Responsibilities will include:
Apply change management processes and tools to create strategies to drive project or initiative success and change adoption
Prepare for change by conducting impact analyses, performing stakeholder analyses, assessing organizational change readiness, assessing the magnitude of change and identifying key stakeholders
Evaluate stakeholder readiness, desired project/initiative results, potential resistance and performance gaps to facilitate change from current state to desired state
Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of change success and change adoption and develop strategies to address challenges, risks or gaps
Identify and monitor evolving project/initiative deliverables, including changes in scope and potential conflicts, develops and implements plans to remove barriers and resolve issues
Lead/facilitate and execute stakeholder engagement sessions throughout the project/initiative
Consult and coach project teams to incorporate agile, innovative and adaptable change management methods to increase success of projects and initiatives
Provide change management expertise to leaders and teams across the City through presenting, coaching and guiding internal stakeholders on employee experience and change management best practices and approaches
Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications, ensuring alignment with the overall project/initiative and change plans
Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall project/initiative and change plans
Collaborate and work closely with areas across the City to gain a deep understanding of business processes and the related change impacts
Build trusting relationships with people leaders across the City in order to facilitate coaching for successful change outcomes

Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Organization Development, or a related discipline
5 years progressively responsible experience in strategic and operational change management planning including working with large-scale, complex change initiatives
Experience working in a municipal government environment is considered an asset
CCMP, ACM, CMP, ProSci accreditation considered an asset
Experience with SAP products and applications is considered an asset
Demonstrated experience working with diverse teams/individuals and managing multiple priorities
Well-versed with multiple change management methodologies with demonstrated ability to apply them appropriately
Proficient in Google Suite as well as the ability to learn is required
Demonstrated skills in facilitation of groups with competing interests and priorities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team in a dynamic and complex environment
Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and manage conflicting priorities with minimal direction
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, Business Areas and external stakeholders
Outstanding customer service management skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups utilizing superior interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact well with a diverse group of executives, colleagues, staff and citizens
