CHANGE ADVISOR


CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA




Working closely with all CMPA departments, the Strategy & Organizational Transformation department leads nimble and adaptable enterprise management processes. The core functions include strategic planning and strategic issues analysis, business planning and performance management, enterprise risk management, market intelligence and research, as well as change enablement for departmental and organization-wide projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW




The Change Advisor supports the organization on corporate strategic initiatives and business transformation projects. Reporting to, and with guidance from the Senior Change Advisor, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders, the Change Advisor is responsible for creating and implementing integrated change plans for key projects and providing change enablement advice to departmental change initiatives, adhering to our Change Enablement process.

This is a key role within the Strategy & Organizational Transformation team that will support our continued modernization, developing, designing, and delivering comprehensive change and engagement programs to support business transformation efforts. The key objective of the role is to support employees and leaders in successfully transitioning and operating under new business processes and systems and participating in the development of new processes and deliverables that are clear, modern, and resonate with employees, Council, members, and stakeholders.

The Change Advisor will focus on the people side of change and transformation and will be responsible for assessing and enabling business readiness, user readiness, learning, change communications, and adoption. The Change Advisor will also liaise with senior leaders and executive leaders in identifying, defining, implementing, and evaluating transformational change.

This role is for someone with a strong passion for and knowledge of organizational change and possesses superior stakeholder engagement and communications skills.

POSITION ACTIVITIES



Develops and implements proactive change strategies and programs to support adoption of people, process, and technology changes Collaborates with lines of business to conduct impact analyses and assess change readiness Initiates, manages, and leads structured change enablement activities Contributes to the development of organizational change models, frameworks, and tools to support current and future organizational change initiatives Collaborates with Communication and Learning teams to support the design, development, delivery, and management of integrated change activities Supports learning efforts by guiding the documentation of processes and requirements Contributes to the evaluation of change success measurements Identifies and manages anticipated resistance, consults and coaches leaders and project teams accordingly Supports periodic environmental scanning efforts to identify trends and opportunities for business transformation and define potential business impacts/benefits Facilitates ideation sessions to support the creative process for new transformation initiatives Engages in continuous improvement activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Minimum 4-year Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Business or Commerce, Organizational Development, or a related field of study Minimum 4-6 years of relevant work experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience related to the successful delivery of full cycle organizational change management services including expertise in: stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, engagement/adoption, organizational culture adaptation, communication planning, learning strategy design, and organizational readiness Demonstrated business consulting and project management experience, leading and owning work stream efforts within large-scale and small-scale change efforts Experience and knowledge of organizational change principles, methodologies, and tools Demonstrated presentation and facilitation experience at the leadership level Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Organizational Change Management certification or designation considered an asset

Exceptional comfort and skill presenting information to large groups of people, facilitating meetings, and leading group discussions Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent active listening skills; ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, establishing goals and delivering against the established objectives High aptitude for adaptability and flexibility Ability to successfully bring together and generate cooperation across diverse teams with potentially conflicting goals and objectives Strong business acumen, understanding of enterprise management processes including strategic planning, planning and performance reporting and risk management and understanding of organizational issues and challenges A solid understanding of the psychological aspects of how people go through the change adoption process Ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders and ability to influence change through these relationships Organized, with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics Ability to analyze, provide solutions, and build consensus on complex systems and project related issues Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere A team player able to work both independently and collaboratively Understanding of the people implications of AI implementation in a workplace


POSTING DETAILS



Job type: This is a regular full-time opportunity. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Salary range: $85,500 to $114,400 - this role is classified as a level 8. Location:

Hybrid - Primary Remote

. You can work from a home-based office the majority of the time within the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, with regular on-site presence at the CMPA office (1-2 days per week). If you prefer, you can choose to work out of the CMPA office in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow's Lake.
