Duties



Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to aseptic techniques. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) efficiently, updating patient information, documenting treatment notes, and ensuring accuracy across medical documentation and coding. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing support with medical imaging when necessary. Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing inventory of dental supplies, and ensuring the clinic adheres to OSHA standards. Educate patients on treatment plans using clear dental terminology and ensure they understand post-treatment care instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Skills



Must have at least one year experience as a chairside dental assistant

Proficiency in EMR systems for seamless documentation and scheduling. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding processes relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry to assist with patient positioning and treatment planning. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
