Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Personal Support Worker (CPSW) to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will support clients with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to healthcare standards and regulations.

Saturday,Sunday,Monday 10:00am-6:00pm On call shifts available as well.



Duties



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and overall health status Administer medications and assist with medication management following care plans Support patients with cognitive impairments including Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, and developmental disabilities Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform safe patient transfers Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning duties Document patient progress accurately while respecting HIPAA confidentiality standards Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life for clients in hospice, senior care, or home health settings

Experience



Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is preferred Experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications is highly valued Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is required Hands-on experience with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and assisting with ADLs is beneficial Previous roles involving social work or long-term care support will be considered an asset Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtained upon hiring
