Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, clinical procedures, and patient management.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform chairside assisting tasks, including taking dental X-rays and managing dental imaging equipment. Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Manage sterilization of instruments and adhere to infection control protocols. Utilize Abeldent for patient documentation of instruments used via SteriLog

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with Abeldent dental software systems including Sidexis is a plus Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while maintaining patient comfort. Knowledge of infection control standards within a dental clinic environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Previous experience in general dentistry or specialized fields such as periodontics or endodontics is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
