Position Details:
Compensation:
$24 - $27 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full-time
Evening shifts required
2 Saturdays per month
Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, and Invisalign treatments
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained
Taking and processing digital x-rays
Performing
iTero scans
for Invisalign and restorative cases
Preparing and sterilizing instruments and operatories
Supporting the clinical team with day-to-day operations
Manage patient records using Dentrix
Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilize instruments according to infection control guidelines
Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical imaging to support clinical operations
Requirements
Level II Dental Assistant certification (HARP certified)
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in dental assisting techniques
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and iTero 3D scanners safely and effectively
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience working in general dentistry settings; nvisalign experience is a plus
Certification in radiography or X-ray certification required
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
