The Recruitment Associate is responsible for meeting the hiring goals of service areas by filling vacant positions with talented and qualified candidates, while considering the organization's strategic plan goals as they relate to the areas of recruitment. They are responsible for the full cycle recruitment process, which entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers of employment, all while ensuring the candidates have a pleasant experience.
Responsibilities:
Establish effective and cooperative working relationships, within the organization, built on trust.
Engage in regular communication with the service area/hiring manager throughout the full-cycle recruitment process.
Perform candidate screening by reviewing resumes/applications and conducting pre-screening phone/video interviews.
Coordinate and oversee the details of the interview process, while including the service area as needed.
Prepares and ensures interview questions are relevant to the position and organizational needs, in addition to meeting legal requirements.
Ensures that regular and effective communication occurs with all candidates (such as interview details, next steps, negotiating employment offers, etc.)
Conducts all necessary reference checks and ensures the pre-employment/background checks are submitted/completed for successful candidates.
Facilitates the employment offer process and prepares all required documents as it relates to the hiring process.
Oversees the initial onboarding and new hire processes, before handing off to the service areas to complete.
Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding personal information collected and retained.
Maintains all required documentation, correspondence, and ensures completion of all organization required data and forms in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
Minimum 2 years of full cycle recruitment experience
Previous experience in a social service setting considered an asset
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment (such as scanners/printers)
Proven experience and creativity with sourcing qualified candidates
Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal contacts
A demonstrated awareness and appreciation of diverse cultures and traditions
Established organizational skills and attention to detail
The successful candidate will be subject to Criminal Record and Adult/Child Abuse Registry Checks, and Prior Contact Check
The salary range for this 70-hour bi-weekly position is $23.63 to $30.71 per hour (equivalent to $43,006 to $55,892 per annum), dependent upon education and/or experience. A full benefits package (which includes Health and Dental Benefits, Long Term Disability Benefits, and a Pension Plan) is provided to regular full-time staff.
