Job Description

Assists shop team with any required tasks. Load and unload materials, and move materials to work areas Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and help in other activities Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials Drive specialized trucks (float/low-bed) to move heavy equipment, vehicles, or materials. Properly load, balance, secure (tarping), and unload cargo using chains, binders, and straps. Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment checks (tires, brakes, lights). Adhere to all provincial/national transport regulations, including logbooks and potential permits. Coordinate with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding schedules and issues. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical concerns. Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment Perform other activities, as directed Ensures organization and cleanliness of shop and yard. Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality. * Tasks are not limited to the above and other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
