SUMMARY:

River's Edge Catering is currently seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Catering Team Leader to join our on-site team at

The Riverside Country Club

. The Catering Team Leader is responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events. This role ensures that all banquet operations are carried out smoothly and efficiently, delivering a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. The Catering Team Leader leads and supports banquet staff, coordinates with the kitchen, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards. In this position, you will be expected to deliver a positive experience to our guests and motivate our staff to ensure customer service excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for event setup, service, and cleanup. Coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution. Ensure all banquet setups (tables, chairs, linens, audio-visual equipment, etc.) meet event specifications. Monitor food and beverage service quality and timeliness throughout the event. Resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards in all banquet areas. Provide hands-on support during high-volume events or special occasions. Other duties as required by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a self-starter with excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills. Previous experience in banquet, hospitality, or food service supervision required. Knowledge of banquet operations, food safety, and service etiquette Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate fellow team members in a fast-paced environment. Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in Food Safety or Hospitality Management. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Good Communication Skills
