SUMMARY:

River's Edge Catering is currently seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Catering Supervisor to join our on-site team at

The Riverside Country Club

. In this position, you will be expected to deliver a positive experience to our guests and motivate our staff to ensure customer service excellence. The Catering Supervisor will be responsible to oversee events from start to finish, while maintaining a high level of Guest Satisfaction. Exceptional management skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.

Manager and Executive Chef/Owner

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide, and ensure staff is providing, excellent Customer Service. Ensure staff is trained properly on all technical and service aspects of the job. Delegate duties, and ensure they have been completed properly and in a timely manner. Serve as an individual contributor and departmental role model by performing duties. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the work areas. Ensure accuracy of staff's end-of-shift procedures. Coordinate tasks and work with all other departments to ensure efficiency. Address guest concerns, requests, or issues tactfully and professionally. Act as a bridge between Management and staff or guests. Collaborate with Management to recognize and celebrate staff performance contributions. Ensure departmental goals are communicated, understood and met by staff. Other duties as required by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a self-starter with excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Decisive and critical thinker. Post-secondary education or Hospitality Certificate considered an asset. Significant work experience in the hospitality industry with a minimum of 2 years proven supervisory experience. Previous experience in Catering/Golf Club considered an asset. Ability to work under minimal supervision while prioritizing deadlines. Must be flexible to accommodate irregular and/or extended shifts (daytime, evening, & weekends.
