Catering Assistant / Assistant Traiteur
L'assistant traiteur est charge de fournir aux clients un service de restauration et de boissons de qualite constante et irreprochable, afin d'assurer le bon deroulement des conferences et des receptions. Il installe et demonte les salles de conference en fonction des commandes, et veille au respect des normes de proprete dans les cuisines, les equipements et les salles de reunion. Il assemble et dispose le materiel de conference dans les salles de reception et de conference en fonction des besoins de chaque evenement. Il demonte les salles de conference aux moments appropries. Il assure l'entretien des bureaux, notamment, mais sans s'y limiter : enlevement des dechets, nettoyage, commande et reapprovisionnement des cuisines, des garde-manger, des fournitures, etc. En outre, il travaille avec le coordinateur - Accueil, le responsable du site ou le responsable des comptes integres a l'organisation de tous les evenements internes et clients. Ce poste peut egalement inclure des taches administratives generales, l'accueil, la photocopie, les services postaux, l'expedition et la reception de produits et de fournitures, le tri, la distribution et le traitement du courrier entrant et sortant.
Responsabilites :
Se familiariser avec les meilleures pratiques requises par l'entreprise en matiere de procedures de restauration
Preparer les salles de reunion pour le service de restauration, livrer, installer et recuperer les commandes, nettoyer et reinitialiser les salles de reunion a la fin de la reunion, conformement au calendrier du systeme de reservation interne et sous la supervision du responsable
S'assurer que tous les articles de table, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, le linge de table, les assiettes, les couverts et la verrerie, sont propres et presentables, dresser correctement les tables et le mobilier associe pour les evenements speciaux, conformement aux instructions du superviseur
Maintenir un espace de travail sur et ordonne et effectuer toutes les taches de maniere securisee, en respectant toutes les politiques et procedures de securite de l'entreprise
Gerer les stocks, en veillant a ce que la cuisine, le centre de conference et les salles de pause-cafe soient bien approvisionnes, aider a la reception et au stockage des livraisons
Assurer un service client exceptionnel pour tous les evenements, y compris la livraison rapide des repas, des boissons et des services de restauration, la maitrise des technologies utilisees dans la salle de conference et l'aide a l'installation et au demontage de la salle de conference
Veiller a la proprete et a l'ordre du cafe et des autres espaces cuisine
Peut egalement inclure des taches administratives generales, l'accueil, la photocopie, les services postaux, l'expedition et la reception de produits et de fournitures, le tri, la distribution et le traitement du courrier entrant et sortant
Autres taches assignees par le coordinateur - Accueil et/ou le responsable
Qualifications :
Diplome d'etudes secondaires ou GED
Au moins 2 ans d'experience dans le domaine de la restauration, de l'hotellerie ou du service traiteur
Certification requise pour servir de l'alcool (par exemple, Smart Serve en Ontario)
Competences :
Connaissance pratique des normes acceptees dans le secteur de la restauration en matiere d'hygiene alimentaire, de manipulation et de preparation des aliments, de mise en place et de service des aliments et des boissons
Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite, avec la capacite de faire preuve de discretion et de bon jugement
Excellentes competences en matiere de coordination, d'organisation et de relations interpersonnelles
Excellentes capacites a mener plusieurs taches de front et a s'adapter au changement
Orientation vers le service
Capacite a travailler en equipe ou de maniere independante
Capacite a soulever et pousser regulierement des objets pesant jusqu'a 30 livres

Catering Assistant
The Catering Assistant is responsible for providing consistent and high-quality standard of food and beverage set up/service to clients, ensuring smooth delivery of conference and function services. Sets up and breaks down conference rooms according to event orders as well as maintains cleanliness standards for kitchens, equipment and meeting rooms. Assembles and arranges conference equipment in function and conference rooms per event requirements. Disassembles conference rooms at appropriate break down times. Office maintenance, including, but not limited to: trash removal, cleaning, ordering and restocking kitchens, pantries, supplies, etc. In addition, works with the Coordinator - Hospitality, Site Manager or Integrated Accounts Manager in the execution of all internal and Client events. This position may also include general clerical, reception, copying, mail services, shipping and receiving products and supplies, sorting, distributing and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
Responsibilities:
Become knowledgeable with the Firm's required Best Practices in Food Service Procedures
Prepare meeting rooms for food and beverage service, deliver, set-up and retrieve orders, perform clean-up and reset of meeting rooms when the meeting is finished according to the schedule in the in-house reservation system and organized by the supervisor
Ensure that all tabletop items, including but not limited to linens, plates, cutlery and glassware are clean and presentable, properly set tables and related furniture for special events as instructed by the supervisor
Maintain a safe and orderly work area and perform all job duties in a safe manner, following all Firm safety policies and procedures
Maintain inventory supplies, ensuring the kitchen, conference centre and coffee rooms are well stocked, assist in receiving and storing deliveries
Ensure exceptional client service for all events, including prompt delivery of food, beverage and catering needs, familiarity with boardroom technology and supporting the conference floor set up and take down
Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of cafe and other kitchen areas
May also include general clerical, reception, copying, mail services, shipping and receiving products and supplies, sorting, distributing and handling incoming and outgoing mail
Other duties as assigned by Coordinator - Hospitality and/or manager
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years experience in a food services, restaurant, hospitality or catering role
Certification required to serve alcohol (eg. Smart Serve in Ontario)
Skills:
Working knowledge of accepted food service industry standards with regard to food sanitation, food handling and preparation, food and beverage set-up and service
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exercise discretion and good judgement
Possess excellent co-ordination, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent multi-tasking skills and adaptable to change
Service oriented
Ability to work as a team or independently
Ability to regularly lift and push objects up to 30 lbs
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Applications
