We\'re looking for a Category Manager, Online to join our growing company and support the development and implementation of the vision, strategy and direction for the online business!



As a Category Manager, Online you will:

  • Manage vendor relationships and performance by setting and reviewing success metrics
  • Oversee onboarding, negotiate and administer contracts with minimal risk exposure and in full compliance with the strategy
  • Oversee online product selection, placement, and grouping with the goal of increasing sales and profitability
  • Responsible for selection and accuracy of product images or descriptions
  • Review the competitive marketplace for trends and adjust strategy, monitor and leverage macroeconomic, market, and ESG trends
  • Assist in the development of online sales or promotions
  • Create processes and tools that enable the team to work efficiently and effectively
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals - Ecomm, IT, Merchandising, Marketing
  • Ensure the execution of deliverables and adapt priorities based on changing needs
  • Support the VP of Merchandising to develop, implement and execute Merchandising strategy for online exclusive assortment
  • Search actively for new partners, brands and products that will help support growth of the company\'s market share and stay current on market trends
Qualifications
  • University degree in Business, Merchandising or related discipline
  • 3+ years\' experience in senior merchandise management, or comparable Ecommerce experience
  • Proven experience in creating an action plan to complete projects and lead a team to complete tasks
  • Demonstrated performance in people management, organization and retail merchandising
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP Systems and Reporting Systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills to interact with a number of business stakeholders, functional leaders, subject matter experts and suppliers
  • Ability to conduct extensive review of complex business needs and convert to appropriate business systems
  • Ability to negotiate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bilingualism French - English - an asset
