Casual PD Day Camp Leader

(September to June)

The Township of North Huron Recreation Department is seeking one (1) casual PD Day Camp Leader to support children day camp programs throughout the school year (September to June) on scheduled school professional development (PD) days.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide supervision and support to children from the community enrolled in the PD Day Camp programs

Plan and implement PD Day Camp program activities in consultation with the Recreation & Fitness Supervisor

. Supporting the diverse range of needs of all children

Establish and maintain a stable, healthy and safe environment for children to enable them to contribute and participate in the PD Day Camp programs

Be a mentor and role model to children by modelling appropriate behaviors and attitudes

Provide age-appropriate activities that promote both child development and fun

Minimum Requirements:

. Secondary School

Post Secondary education with a field of study in children and youth considered an asset

Previous experience working with children

Availability to work from September to June on school PD days

Current First-Aid & CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current criminal record check as a condition of employment

Rate of Pay:

Band 2 ($17.97 - $21.14 per hour)

Hours of Work:

Subject to sufficient child enrolment in the North Huron Recreation PD Day Camp Programs throughout the year. The shifts will be up to 8 hours in length for pre-determined school PD Day dates as prescribed by theMinistry of Education for the 2025/2026 school year.
