to help deliver our

Wild Outside Fall Break Camp

, a fun and educational outdoor program for youth aged

7-14

Position Overview

The Day Camp Leader will plan, lead, and deliver engaging outdoor educational activities focused on wildlife tracking, nature observation, and environmental awareness.
This is a

full-time, fixed-term seasonal position

running

November 10 and November 12-14, 2025

.

:

Lead and supervise campers aged 7-14 during camp days (November 12-14) Facilitate interactive lessons on animal tracking, scat identification, and nature observation Conduct daily safety and equipment inspections Manage camper sign-in/out with authorized guardians Administer first aid when required Support daily setup, cleanup, and logistics Maintain attendance records and prepare brief reports as needed Represent the Alberta Wildlife Federation in a positive and professional manner

Skills:

Public speaking Leadership Experience using Microsoft 365 Creative Collaborative Organized Excellent written and verbal ability to write and communicate well in presentations, emails, marketing campaigns, staff and customer interactions

Qualifications:

Minimum age:

18 years old

.

Valid Standard First Aid with CPR and AED certification

(required). Experience leading or instructing youth programs (especially outdoor or environmental education) is an asset. Post-secondary education in

biology, environmental science, education, recreation, or a related field

is preferred.

Valid Class 5 driver's license

(asset). Successful candidate must provide a

clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check

prior to employment.
