Overview:

Better Way Home Care is seeking a

compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

to join our growing home care team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to clients in their homes, supporting their health, independence, and overall well-being.

This is a

flexible, on-call/short-notice position

, ideal for LPNs looking to

supplement their current working hours

while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver client care according to established care plans and professional standards. Provide direct support with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and hygiene. Accurately record vital signs, medical history, and client updates Monitor client condition and report changes promptly to the healthcare team. Assist in developing and adjusting client care plans in collaboration with other care professionals. Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Uphold safety protocols and infection control measures at all times. Support client education around health awareness and disease prevention. Ensure documentation is thorough, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

Current LPN license

in good standing with the

College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)

.

Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)

certification.

Valid driver's license

and access to

reliable transportation

. Experience in

home care

or

community nursing

settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of

hospice care principles

is considered an asset. Strong clinical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. A

compassionate approach

and understanding of the unique needs of elderly clients.
