Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to clients in their own home. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our clients while working collaboratively with the Better Way Home Care team of healthcare professionals. We are looking for an LPN who is available for short-notice and/or on call. This position would be ideal for someone looking to supplement their current hours.

Responsibilities:

Deliver client care in accordance with the care plan and professional standards. Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Provide direct client care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with daily living activities. Record vital signs and medical histories accurately in electronic health records. Assist in the development and implementation of client care plans. Communicate effectively with clients , families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care needs. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Participate in client education initiatives to promote health awareness and disease prevention. Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills:

Proficient in medication administration and monitoring patient reactions. Experience in home care settings. Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate approach to senior care and understanding of the unique needs of elderly clients.

Requirements:

Current LPN licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Valid BLS certification

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
